Finding Iraq Star

I received a strange phone call about six months ago. I had been informed from Dr. Phil’s office that I was invited to the Iraq Star event in Studio City, Los Angeles, just miles from where I was staying. I thought it was a prank. I’d never heard about this “foundation” and, to be completely honest, had never watched Dr. Phil’s program. Come to find out, my mom had been watching his show and saw the Iraq Star dinner advertised on his program. Evidently, you could write in to the show if you think you should be invited and my mom, as wonderful as she is, wrote in on my behalf without telling me and won a seat. I was ecstatic! A few days later, I was eating the best food I’d had in a while and was rubbing elbows with the Hollywood elite. Halfway through, an elegant and graceful woman named Micaela introduced herself as being part of Iraq Star and said to me, “How can we help you?”
