I Am My Brother's Keeper Ministry Roof Restored
On the Dr. Phil show, "Reinvent Yourself," Dr. Phil and author Mitch Albom met with Pastor Henry Covington, who runs I Am My Brother's Keeper Ministry, a shelter for the homeless in Detroit, Michigan. After touring the facility, Dr. Phil noted that the minister needed food, mattresses, bedding and clothing to sustain his program. With the help of Steve Davidson, president and CEO of The Dr. Phil Foundation, Dr. Phil announced that he would match up to $25,000 to support I Am My Brother's Keeper Ministry.

In December of 2009, The Dr. Phil Foundation's $25,000 match to benefit I Am My Brother's Keeper Ministry was met and a check was sent to the ministry.
"Last week, we finished the roof, and the hole is all gone, and in its place is
a plaque with the names of every person who gave us from 50 cents on over, with
your name right up at the top and The Dr. Phil Foundation. That, to me, is how
you plug a hole," Mitch Albom told Dr. Phil. "We made up this plaque for you,
which we have a copy of in the church as well."
Thank you for your generous support in helping us reach our goals!
