Youth Empowerment Project

The Dr. Phil Foundation was one of three beneficiaries that received $100,000 from Sean and Beth Payton's Payton's Play it Forward organization. The Youth Empowerment Project was given a donation to support community based mentoring programs, which offer youths, ages 8-14, with culturally competent case management services. The program helps children make positive life choices, be successful and resist engaging in criminal activity.

"I do school checks with them. I have an anger management class on Tuesdays. I have tutoring on Wednesdays. I really see the work I do as helping these kids," said Rennell Gibbs in the Dr. Phil episode "Caught in the System".
