Robert

A Generous Donation

Dr. Phil and his family are passionate about helping disadvantaged and foster children. They also feel strongly about music in kids' lives, and keeping music programs in school, as part of the focus of the Dr. Phil Foundation.

Robert B. Snyder, a retired pilot, recently made a generous donation to the Foundation. The funds are to be earmarked for music education programs. Boys and Girls Clubs of America has already received $25,000 to support their Music Makers Program, and $10,000 went to Deborah Gibson's Camp Electric Youth to fund music, dance and songwriting scholarships, as well as others.

"Tell me why you've been so generous and why you're targeting the music areas," Dr. Phil asked Robert.

"Dr. Phil, when I retired from aviation, I was very fortunate to inherit some funds, and I told God that it was time to help children, and that's what I'm doing," he replied.

"You have no idea how many lives this donation is going to touch," Dr. Phil told him. "One hundred cents of every dollar goes to a recipient, because we pay all the overhead and everything just out of our own pockets, so if you give a dollar to the Foundation, then every penny of every dollar is going to go to one of the students. God bless you for what you've done. Thanks so much."
